Fisher V200 V-Port Ball Valve Substitute?

2010-11-09

I've have selected a 1" and 3" Fisher V-Port Ball Valve 600#, with pneumatic actuation and 4-20ma positioner. My local distributor is lacking in customer service and timeliness in answering questions, to the point that I'd like to know if anyone knows of a suitable equivalent valve from a different manufacturer. A brand/model would be sufficient to point me in the right direction. Any suggestions would be appreciated. You sound angry with a particular sales person more than the product. I understand. Me too. The Emerson valve representatives are usually pretty good but the same cannot be said of all sales people. I am about to place an order that includes a few V-500 ball valves in addition to about 100 others in various services. Emerson provides sales and product support throughout the globe. My sales guy is not responsive to my requirements either. He may not yet know that he just lost a big order for severe service valves that went to another large international valve supplier. For another ball style control valve manufacturer I would consider Neles Jamesbury. I have only bought a few and they included severe service trim.If you must go to another manufacturer you could search the web for a few others. The original VeeBall patent ran out long ago thus several other companies sell similar products. SPX DeZurik sells V-Ball clones. I have never bought a DeZurik valve but think that they are used in the pulp and paper business. A quick web search also identified SVF.
